"ARGO" - Naval Parents Association of youth and adults with disabilities, was founded in 1985 under the initiative of mothers of children with intellectual disabilities, spouses of sailors. It is a certified legal entity providing Primary and Secondary Social Care services, which offers education, support, housing to young people and adults with Intellectual Disability and/or Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
The headquarter of the Association is located in Piraeus and its main purpose is (according to the statute) the care, attention and education of adolescents/adults with disabilities, who belong - primarily and as a priority - to families of Greek Sailors, without however excluding those protected by other occupational categories.
It is governed by a 7-member Board of Directors elected by popular vote among the active members every three years.
